Overview

Collaborated with three peers from the course, I decided to create a device that can help facilitate emulsion, which is a process that mixes two liquids that would normally separate when sitting still. The device targets chefs trying to keep certain liquids mixed while preparing other ingredients, as well as restaurants that intend to impress customers by preparing mixtures with a precisely-timed gentle shaker. As one of the lectures states, eating is not just about putting food in our mouths, but a process involving all kinds of sensory activation. With this project, we created a visual and gustatory experience by integrating culinary arts, mechanical engineering, and the Internet of Things.
